– Mandatory First Step: You MUST punch a pilot hole before setting the eyelet. The grommets themselves are not designed to puncture material. Attempting to do so will damage them and the pliers.
– Correct Operation: Always follow the manual for the correct orientation of the grommet, washer, and pliers. Applying firm, even pressure is sufficient. Excessive force or incorrect alignment will bend the pliers’ handle.
– For a Secure Hold: Always use the included washer with every eyelet. This is essential for making the connection strong and preventing it from loosening.
